Re: Midfield Balance

The pattern emerging is that United are building a midfield around hybrid progression players rather than fixed specialists. Mainoo regularly connected play from deep last season because of his press resistance, progressing through accurate short passes or by carrying through pressure. Tielemans has...

Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III

Saying I don't see world class potential isn't writing them off. They could still be world class but currently there are no indications of these players showing that level of talent. I don't see that level of talent in Shea Lacey or Chido Obi either. They've not played much. Could they be world cla...

Re: Midfield Balance

My feeling is Ederson will not go ahead. Especially since Atalanta have offered him a 5 year contract.

I can't wait to see United on transtitions next season when both Tielemans and Bruno are on the pitch with our fast attackers.

Re: Midfield Balance

Looks like Tielmans is close, activating a £35M release clause. As usual, attractive due to allowing a quick deal with no difficult negotiations. Santos/Mainoo are both small space players, who offer excellent control, but neither have yet developed consistent long rang passing and switches of play....

Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III

Injury record has been ok, apart from the past season which he missed 23 games with 2 seperate issues. I think a very uesful squad player - if he stays fit.

Re: Midfield Balance

I think the Ineos approach to transfers is exactly right. Hold exploratory talks across the market, not because they are randomly chasing ten midfielders at once, but because that is how you build a complete picture. You need to know the fee, wage expectations, agent demands, injury risk, contract s...

Of course, you really never know whether any signing will work, but this is clearly what the data department are looking at. I'm feeling confident that at a minimum he will be a useful player.

Sangare the DM at Lens is 24.
Yes, I realised that mistake. I looked up his age and somehow got 28!
