Re: Other Teams' Stuff
That’s my point really, though I probably didn’t express it clearly enough. By pre-cursor I meant that it will probably be what they think they can get away with for now and then when it’s clear it’s always the same teams dominating and those same teams raise a fuss about the number of games they ar...

Re: Other Teams' Stuff
Looks to me like it might be a pre-cursor for the European Super League.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑2 weeks ago Anyone got any thoughts on the new CL format?
It's nice having CL games on Thursday but the idea of a league seems like a slog. And there are quite a lot of average teams playing each other.

Any chance of a summary of this? Don’t do so–called social media.

Re: Other Teams' Stuff
According to Sky, Clearlake want to buy Boehly out. They want rid, cos he's shite. I guess that's the attitude of private equity; that if they're not getting a return, they get rid of the people in charge? Also Boehly and Eghbali are having beef. Because they are seeking returns, PE tends to be (qu...

Re: Other Teams' Stuff
It's all starting to go wrong at Chelsea. We need a Chelsea Watch thread, this is great. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-09-06/chelsea-fc-s-backers-clearlake-and-todd-boehly-weigh-ownership-options It's going to be funny as fuck when Clearlake pull the plug and the house of cards comes...

Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III
Our success is going to be a function of his decision making, which to me seems consistently flawed. Hence my view that he probably needs to go.

Re: Erik Ten Hag
You need to be able to ring the changes depending on who you’re playing and change style within a game.
There is no one best formula, although you do need to be able to play at high tempo. But that doesn’t mean everyone dashes around like a blue arsed fly. Quick thinking is as important as quick legs.

Re: Erik Ten Hag
I was happy to give ten Hag the benefit of the doubt when Ineos decided to back him but, for me, yesterday proved his decision making just isn’t up to scratch.
Game over. Get rid now before he does any more damage.
