So you're going to blame Ole for trying to sign 10 imaginary crap players? Right then.dozer wrote: ↑7 months agoThe real question is how many players did Ole recommend we buy and we didn't? We can cherry pick haaland but what if he recommended 10 other players who all turned out to be crap?Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑7 months ago Insightful Ole interview
The bit about recruitment is interesting. Ole says lots of people higher up, including people that have never kicked a ball, have vetos when it comes to signings, and it causes problems. They're also slow as shit, which we already knew.
Also United ignored chances to sign Haaland when he was at Molde including when his release fee was nowt. We only got interested when he started banging em in at Salzburg, by which time every other cunt wanted him.
Also, as part of Ole's contract, he had to accept that he is basically one voice among many when it comes to signings.

Problem is Dozer, Ole was not entirely to blame for the signings, and non signings. It's a group effort. That group includes lots of non footballing people who are certified fucking idiots.
So you can't lay the blame entirely at Oles door.
As part of his contract he literally had to agree to ceding power on transfers to these people including the Glazers.
I doubt it's different under Hag. But for me Hag is clearly having a bigger influence, possibly cos the people above him have even less of a clue so they're just agreeing. And Hag, whose never signed players in his life until United, is just going after the players he already managed cos he knows them well.
But equally Varane and Casemiro and United signings, not so much Hag.

It's also possible that Hag got a lot of his signings because the Glazers were already planning to sell part of the club, so it becomes even less their problem that the club has to possibly refinance to fund transfers.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑7 months ago Problem is Dozer, Ole was not entirely to blame for the signings, and non signings. Ubelievable that there are those who will use this spending to somehow exonerate them. Idiots like Rio claiming as recently as 2 years ago that they are good owners because they have "spent money". Yeah Rio, they didn't let the club spend it's own money it had generated through success, siphoning off large parts of it for themselves, then employed idiots to run transfers, then saddled the club with yet even more debt to fund the transfers becasue the clubs actual funds had run dry. They really are among the worst type of cunts. Only one rung below sportswashers.

Totally. Ole even alludes to that "they've spent money" argument in the interview. He basically says the Glazers have a big role in signing players cos "they're the ones spending the money" - yeah, the clubs money Ole, not their own. But the way he words makes out as if it's their own personal wealth they're donating to the club.
