I saw a comment from an American that said he doesn't want United in the US again cos it's too hot, the NFL pitches injure players and make games shit, and there's too much flying. He's spot on. But like you said we strengthened our stake amongst affluent American demographics.

As well, Prem clubs network with US investors & private equity when they're over there. They show off their wares on the pitch. The Prem is following the US model more and more, like moving to this squad cost cap.
Mad isn't it?

It's almost like there's a reason why every single league stops playing during the summer months. Fucking off somewhere even hotter and jumping in without any preparation under the guise that this IS your preparation is just stupid.

Even so, the fact that it seems to be just United injuring players left right and centre during preseason surely says something

So we're in the same boat as last year. 1 fit striker (who's still yet to train with the team), Sancho, Casemiro, Maguire likely starting, 1 fit LB (we'll see for how long)

City will stuff us in the McDonald's Shield and that Liverpool game looks ominous

Hoping Mainoo and Bruno stay fit to give us some semblance of a midfield

Forgot about Sancho. Doesn't look like he's going anywhere before the start of the season.

So now we've also lost Wan‑Bissaka, Victor Lindelöf and Jonny Evans.
This pre-season tour is not going well...

It's not just bad luck at this point or specific to Hag. We've always had a poor record with injuries. There's an expectation that you play through pain and injuries. It's true of all clubs but worse at United - probably because it's a massive club so the pressure and expectation is bigger. Rashford playing with a fractured back for example.

It's also been made worse by desperate managers who kept playing the best players regardless cos they were about to be sacked.

This is some of the toxic culture Ineos have to change. You can do all the marginal gains shite but if the best players aren't on the pitch, you're fucked.

Ask this in jest, but how would you rate our chances against this free agent 11?!

Reckon they would give us a run for our money.

Hope Mainoo doesn’t join the ranks of the injured this weekend.

They'd beat us 2-0

It's interesting how there are so many quality players that are free agents these days. I wonder why. Ridiculous wage demands must be one.

Varane has announced his retirement. He's 31. He suffered a serious knee injury on his debut for Como.

I just wanted to post this cos what a good move to get rid in summer. But also what a crock. His body was giving up when we signed him, it was evident, but they still did it.

Ineos need to dodge players like this like the plague.

Well spotted Sid.
We dodged a bullet there.
