If he goes on to sign a load of dutch players again, then it might not have been Uniteds lack of transfer strategy that was the reason we signed so many dutch players, might just be a bit of a flaw in Hags management.
It's why it's so important that we have a structure that suggests players for the manager and not the other way round. Either it pisses off the manager when the club can't get his lads like Mourinho, we end up with players for a specific style like with van Gaal and Ole, or we end up with random crap because the manager can't judge a player's level like with ten Hag.
I know people say De Ligt, Mazraoui and Zirkzee fall into the category with ten Hag but I still think they were opportunistic signings that the club gave they're OK on due to good value and holes in the squad. Kind of a halfway house between the old way and what looks like the new way with Heaven, Dorgu, Cunha and hopefully Mbeumo. No connection with Amorim whatsoever. There's a strategy above him which is encouraging... Not saying it'll work but it's encouraging

Ratcliffe himself confirmed it in his interview with neville.Felwin wrote: ↑8 months ago It's why it's so important that we have a structure that suggests players for the manager and not the other way round. The Dutch signings were ten hag signings. The rest weren't.

My point is that INEOS only sanctioned them when they were a good deal for the club, as in those 3 signings. Hence halfway house.dozer wrote: ↑8 months agoRatcliffe himself confirmed it in his interview with neville.Felwin wrote: ↑8 months ago It's why it's so important that we have a structure that suggests players for the manager and not the other way round.
