If Rashford, Sancho, Anthony & Garnacho were a band, their album would be called "Dr Feelgood"
Onana
Don't know if these stats are available for the CL and EL as well, but I suspect he'd be even worse there. He was absolute wank in the CL in 23/24 and he tried his level best to sabotage the Europa for us last season. Even in the final he was one of 3 players culpable for that shite goal that gifted Spurs the trophy.Remi Moses wrote: ↑7 months ago I checked some stats on Onana:
PSxG – GA shows whether a keeper exceeded (positive) or underperformed (negative) relative to those chances:
In 23/24 Onana was the 5th best in the league with +2.2
In 24/25 he was 12th with +1.0
Goalkeeping errors leading to goals:
In 23/24 11th= with 1 error
In 24/25 4th highest with 3 errors
Premier League average for Crosses Stopped %:
League Average: 6.6%
Onana in 24/25: 5.7%
Overall he is an average Premier League Keeper. He lost confidence and had a bad season after a promising start. His defenders don't seem to have confidence in him with some notable instances of communication breakdown. In the medium term he is not good enough to help United get to where they want to be. If no reasonable offers are received, at the least they should replace Bayindir with a keeper good enough to challenge Onana. Another poor signing by Ten Hag/Murtough.
Worryingly looks like he'll still be here next year. Think it's fairly clear the next position they're looking at is striker... But there is still time to raise cash and/or pivot away from CF to buy a GK.
