Mount was wanted by ETH and has been unlucky with injuries but he was injury prone at Chelsea and so we should have been wary of that. I think Amorim likes him and if he can stay fit this season, I think he'll contribute but not sure how much game time he will get ahead of Bruno/Cunha/Mbeumo.
Ah right. Has it been you advising Berada all along then?dozer wrote: ↑3 months ago2 years is what I've been saying. It should really be 1, but 2 is more realistic to implement. This is why Mount needs to go as well, because he's been here for 2 years but he'll stay. Isn't he on top tier wages, higher than Mbuemo and Cunha?JoelfuckingGlazer wrote: ↑3 months ago I remember watching a clip of Berada and Bigiristain at City, discussing squad dynamics, contract renewals, who to let get etc. The central principle was that players get 2 years from signing to demonstrate they're brining value in line with their contract/asset value. I.e. a year to settle in, then a year to perform. Not that every player needs to be hitting it out of the oark, but that they are performing in line with their level of contract. I'd imagine he embeds a similar principle here. So it's a big year for the likes of Ugarte. Zirkzee too, though if he keeps progressing as he was last season, he'll be fine. Mount needs to produce this season too. I also think it's why we're up for letting Hojlund go - he's going backwards if anything. Same with Onana.

I think what Dozer is trying to say is that he knew everything all along and that everyone else has no idea. What he knows and what everyone else knows changes between posts. - Felwin 31/10/2024

Mount is the modern 'runaboutalot' player. They have more use in today's ultra fit game. But he's still basically shite.
It's hard to put a financial value on him cos he doesn't do anything.

Aye, think we're all in agreement on Mount. I'm sort of inclined to believe the coaches that love what he offers, but as a fan, he's borderline unwatchable. Neither exciting nor effective. Amorim may say he likes him but there's a reason we've bought two number 10s to play ahead of him.
Also agree that it's a big year for Ugarte and Zirkzee.
Honestly think the most likely outcome is both get sold next season (hopefully even for profit). But if either or both suddenly step up thanks to proper competition, fair fucks to them.

No but it's not unrealistic to assume that he's got a login, and he's been reading my posts, nodding vigorously while masturbating furiously.FuB wrote: ↑3 months agoAh right. He probably used some of my points in his interview to get the United job.
They will barely feature. Zirkzee was second choice to even Hojlund last season. Amorim eventually realised Ugarte was shit and he favoured Case instead. He played Bruno deeper more often and played Eriksen when he could.
Now after bringing in more numbers, and with fewer games, I don't expect them to even play. This is why I want them out.
Zirkzee became 1st choice before his injury. Ugarte played every round of the Europa (i.e. our good games) before Amorim second guessed himself and trusted Mount in the final, dropping Bruno to 8 to accommodate. Not that playing Ugarte would've won us that game, but your point is just untrue.dozer wrote: ↑3 months agoThey will barely feature. Zirkzee was second choice to even Hojlund last season. Ill stick my neck out, and say i do like mount as a player, hes neat and tidy on the ball, links up well, and play a good pass.Felwin wrote: ↑3 months ago Aye, think we're all in agreement on Mount. If he stays fit, I think he'll have a decent season.
In saying this, for his wages, he should really be one of the 1st names on the teamsheet, and I can't see that anytime soon.
