Proper end of season stuff, that. Slack in defence, getting some players minutes as a goodbye and a bit of freedom amongst the play. I’d be annoyed by our defence had that been a month or so ago but at this stage of the year, the job is done and players are half looking at the World Cup, I suspect.
Could have scored 7 on a different day, equally we could have conceded 4 or 5.

The problem is, we've defended like that for a while. Too many spaces in front and between them.
Anyway, 3rd is nailed on. A very credible effort in what could have been a season that went very south. What's key now, is that we have a strong and ruthless summer. Zirkzee, Ugarte, Malacia and Byandir need to go, 5 or 6 need to come in.

I missed it cos I was on a walk but it sounds like a ding dong. My worst fear was that we'd be shit for the final few games, and everybody would question Carrick. But it sounds like there's still a real intent to play for the badge, for pride, and to entertain.

We sorely missed Sesko yesterday as those chances would have been in the back of the net. Chance creation isn't a problem anymore, it's the finishing.
It's a shame Mount can't be more consistent as he looked pretty handy for the minutes he played.

Busy with the family at the weekend so I just caught the highlights, but the fact German Sky had an 11 minute highlight video says it all.
Glad to see the lads are still playing with freedom and joy when there's fuck all left to play for. Also glad Mbeumo got the monkey off his back, hope he starts brightly next season, maybe a new signing puts a rocket up his arse. Feels funny to say it after he started this season so well, but I'd put Cunha and Sesko ahed of him at the moment in terms of rating last summers signings.
