They'll never get properly done, it's clear to all now. They're dragging it on as long as possible, daring the Prem to blink and let them off.
More interesting angle for me is that if the verdict is guilty on some of the charges (we all know they're guilty), then it opens up the prospect of other clubs suing Abu Dhabi. Now obviously, setting out to sue people with infinite wealth is probably suicidal for your case, but the prospect of it happening at least brings yet more tarnish. The best we can hope for is that the football world sees their success as invalid. Don't think we'll ever see titles officially stripped.

I’d love to see English football get a backbone and punt them into oblivion, like how the Scots did with Rangers. Let’s see how many of them are watching a National League game at home to Woking.

If the gov move to renewables quickly, which it apparently is due to the war in Iran, then we'll be less dependent on the UAE for energy and the gov can get tougher. That's will be a while though.
Right now they bend over to em. The UAE arrested 70 British nationals for uploading images and videos of Iranian missile strikes, and when the families went to the British gov to sort it out, they were met with a brick wall. The families said the gov is literally shit scared of offending em cos of trade deals.
Obviously the rule breaches are a massive political issue and were discussed at the embassy, so I don't hold out much hope. Andy Burnham has a great relationship with em cos they gave Manchester 1bn to build luxury flats no cunt lives in. "Manchesterism" is heavily funded by petro-dollars.

Aye, and the media will have you believe his politics is somewhere between Marx and Mao. The guy is a stooge for big investment projects that are usually PI. Not as big a cunt as Starmer, but not the lurch to the left that the rags will have you believe. Mind you, even a lurch to the left in the UK doesn't even get you close to the centre.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑1 month ago If the gov move to renewables quickly, which it apparently is due to the war in Iran, then we'll be less dependent on the UAE for energy and the gov can get tougher

Totally, a lurch to the left still leaves us very far right.Felwin wrote: ↑1 month agoAye, and the media will have you believe his politics is somewhere between Marx and Mao. Chelsea is the weirdest choice they could have picked for this outside of cska Moscow. Recent 20 year ownership of oligarch and putins ally obviously means nothing!

Isn't it just the Chelsea owners course-correcting? Trying to clean up their image as much as possible by making friends with Ukrainian clubs, signing Ukrainian players and holding charity events for Ukraine.Jason wrote: ↑4 weeks ago https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/ar ... w9e1dz9kko

One of those where it's cynical but the result is actually a good thing too.

I'm getting pretty fucking sick of the politics behind football. It's obviously got worse since they let states and state actors like Abramovic in. But Trump at the world cup as well.
Need the actual football to start to remind myself why we all give a shit.
