Didn't see the game, but it's funny how the English media are barely mentioning the ref because it's all the German media are talking about.
Are they just being sore losers or was the ref a bit shit?

He was a bit shit tbf. Seemed to want to punish Bayern. Not sure if it was bias or a case of the Mike Deans aka make it all about me.

The application of handball rule and VAR intervention (or not) is a massive problem. Way too inconsistent.
I watched the semi's. I have to say, Arsenal were the least impressive in terms of technical build up and being press resistant. Atleti moved it from back to front really well, they just lacked a bit of punch. We have some serious levelling up to do in terms of technical ability and intensity if we want to go far in the CL.

Apparently there is a rule that if your own player smashes the ball against you, the whole natural body shape thing doesnt apply.JoelfuckingGlazer wrote: ↑1 month ago The application of handball rule and VAR intervention (or not) is a massive problem. Way too inconsistent.

If that is their biggest gripe, then i dont think they can complain too much.
I didnt think the ref was that bad overall, and the tnt guys were quite complimentary of him.
I guess the other big call was in 1st half where mendes handled rhe ball when leimer would have been in, so cert for red(already on a yellow) but ref pulled it back and said he had handled it 1st, which was a little harsh. They have more grounds to be annoyed about that than the pen.

Might be some legs to the Tchouaméni rumours as I can't see Real wanting to get rid of golden boy Valdeverde but might want rid of Tchouaméni. Let's speculate.......he'd cost £100m but then we'd be getting a world class no6 that can also play at centre back.
Tchouaméni worries me. Reeks of the kind of signing we made when Woodworm was in charge. Wantaway being touted about by an agent looking for a payday, "world class" according to the media, coming from a slower, less physical league.
I'd happily be wrong if he comes and is mint, but I'm very wary.
