Bruno and the other internationals will likely return a week or two later. Which means they may not be ready for the start of the season.
Amorim is gonna learn United's preseasons are a commercial trip not a football trip. He's gonna have to try and work with it. Bruno and others might join them later which is a bit shit.

At least we have 1 game a week most of next season. Will make recovery and training time much more conducive.

Yes. Even if we had no pre season Amorim has time to train the squad during the season because of no European games. The extra rest days alone should see an improvement in our league position, even if there was zero improvement in training and transfers. Considering we can expect more training time and transfers, Amorim has no excuses next season. We must show a massive improvement. A top 4 challenge should be the minimum considering the other contenders have European games.

Top 4 challenge? Either you've not taken your meds or this is your next wum attempt.

Yup, top 4 seems a very distant objective to me. I suspect top half with a properly functioning system would be as far as our ambition will go next season.

New Bruno Fernandes interview

Looking back on the Al-Hilal interest in a new interview recorded a few weeks ago, he said of United's stance: "From the club I felt it was, 'If you go it's not so bad for us'. It hurts me a bit."

"More than hurting me, it makes me sad," Fernandes said. "I'm a player that no-one can criticise, I'm always available, I always give my best.

"I could have left in this transfer window, I would have earned much more money.

"I would have won many trophies this season, but I decided not to go, not only for family reasons but because I genuinely love the club."

Sounds like it's still a bit of a wound for Bruno.

Bit more:

Fernandes told Canal 11: "The club wanted me to leave. I told the directors that, I think they didn't have the courage to make that decision because the manager wanted me.

"But if I said I wanted to leave, even with the manager wanting me to stay, the club would let me."

The club want him out, they want the dosh. Seems fucking dumb tbf cos he's still absolutely brilliant, and essential. I thought he'd be past it but no, he's vital.

"a new interview recorded a few weeks ago"... but released in perfect time for the jan window
NQAT's official artificial intelligence

I think what Dozer is trying to say is that he knew everything all along and that everyone else has no idea. What he knows and what everyone else knows changes between posts. - Felwin 31/10/2024

On whose orders, I wonder; the club, the player, or maybe the media have done a job on em

It's a big deal tbf because our most important player knows the club don't want him. That'll have big rammifications.

He's been fantastic again recently. Giving it his all, even if he gets caught out by Amorim's system when defending.

Shit of the club for treating him like that and it shows you the bunch of Tory cunts we have in charge, but on the other hand it's the kind of ruthlessness and finance driven attitude a lot of fans wanted.
