Erik Ten Hag
You're spot on. I've completely misread that statement, genuinely thought I'd read "until the end of the season".JoelfuckingGlazer wrote: ↑1 year ago They haven't said Ruud till end of season, have they? I think they'll just said he'll take charge on interim basis as we undertake a search for the manager. I might be wrong here, but for some reason I think there'll be a quick move. I think they have something lined up. There's something about the timing of this that's curious, happening so quickly after the last international break. Something has fallen into place in terms of a succession option, I think.
Maybe it will be Xavi then, I did see that picture doing the rounds of his kid in this season's home kit. Reps bringing gifts for the family to butter them up surely the oldest trick in the book.
Xavi isn't a top tier manager or a top tier talent.Felwin wrote: ↑1 year agoYou're spot on. I've also heard Amorim's name mentioned. I've never heard of him and he's in in 30s. Perhaps he's a top talent? Idk.

Fuck you've just made me realise there's a decent chance this will be the first manager younger than me. Ole was close but Amorim is basically a decade younger.dozer wrote: ↑1 year agoXavi isn't a top tier manager or a top tier talent.Felwin wrote: ↑1 year agoYou're spot on. Talking about top tier talent, that was supposed to be Ten Hag, there was talk of him being lined up to take over at Citi.
He had Ajax playing really nice, dominant football, which makes it all the more confusing on what he was trying to do at United.
We are a poisoned chalice, Xavi I'm not sure, what's he done? He has less experience than most that have been touted.
Hopefully we at least get a bit of a bounce for next few games, but let's see.

Hag would probably have succeeded at City. He'd have taken over a mega talented squad, strong dressing room, much easier ride from the press, no real history to their club weighing him down. He'd have been fine. He'll probably do ok when he rocks back up at Ajax.
Its why I think our next managerial choice has to go beyond looking solely at a modern, young coach who's style is based on technique and nothing more. This is a building job. Its too soon for us to recruit a 'coach'. We need a manager. Or, putting labels aside, we need someone who'll be a galvanising force.

I have a feeling it'll be Thomas Frank. And I think it'll happen quickly.
Probably not. They probably spoke to candidates more discreetly this time before sacking ten hag.JoelfuckingGlazer wrote: ↑1 year ago I have a feeling it'll be Thomas Frank. And I think it'll happen quickly.

Interesting. He's doing a great job at Sporting. He's probably as good as we're going to get. I do feel it'll happen quickly - they've pulled the trigger today because they know they're close on someone else.

Has a good grasp of English. Plus, he's a looker. He'll look proper dapper on the touchlines. Get him in,
