I'll keep an eye out for more info, but it looks like a sale of mixed classification shares. Unclear whose shares, and where the funds raised would go. It could be an incremental increase of SJR ownership stake, but I've no idea. No doubt there'll be more in the news over coming daysswampash wrote: ↑3 weeks agoAny chance of a summary of this? I think our main problem is that we are a club full of delusional idiots. Players are delusional. Fans especially are very much deluded. Ratcliffe is also a red flag. When he speaks, I think, he thinks he's Jesus. He speaks as if he knows everything. Every sentence he utters gives off a vibe that he's solving a great problem. Big red flag.
What would you do, right now, if you were calling the shots, dozer?dozer wrote: ↑1 week ago I think our main problem is that we are a club full of delusional idiots. Players are delusional. Buy players with football iq and people who exhibit common sense in life too. Try and investigate how the players live, spend money, how they're with family etc. Look at it like an old school corporate job and at least temporarily, don't buy a player with a weird hair cut or other weird fashionable shit. Avoid any red flags. Fuck me, Djibril Cisse when he joined Liverpool had a fucking bandage strip on his face as a fashion statement. Avoid such mad cunts. They're probably narcissists.
Jim Ratcliffe said all the right things as an owner, don't get me wrong. It's the way he says them that's a little worrying. He gives me the impression that he wants to be at the centre of the earth, dictating everything, like a top top narcissist. I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure he thinks the sun shines out of his ass. I'll look past this if he does well. I'm just saying it's a red flag, nothing more.
It's early days, I know but so far Ineos haven't really shown us what they're doing too differently from a footballing perspective.
They've hired their staff, just like most new owners do. Ratcliffe preached about managers not being the problem, he said Arteta was given time etc, but they tried to lose ten hag just like the Glazers did every time during a bad run. They even botched his sacking which is worse than what the glazers managed. Now the players know the manager probably isn't going to be here for too long. That is the nature of the game but their attempts to sack him makes it worse. Fans do this too, I remember people here wanting Fergie to retire when we were losing points and not looking like winning the league. Alf wanted him sacked on occasion. I'm not saying if it's right or wrong but how is this different from what the Glazers did?
They've not bought galacticos which is a plus but I don't think Woodward would have bought galacticos anymore because of PSR. But I think Ineos have genuinely done better here. However, they've signed players and staff who the manager pointed to. These are Ten Hag signings, not Ineos' targets. It's early days and the clubs football directors haven't had time to do anything so I'm being harsh but let's see how they do things in the next window.
Personally if I were the owner and if I tried to lose the manager and failed because I couldn't find anyone suitable, I wouldn't have given him new players. Clearly as an owner I don't think he'll get us the champs league spots so why buy his players and staff. Write off this season until we hire a new manager.
Why would I as an owner hire so many players and staff who were all identified by a manager I want gone?
You've posted stuff in several, if not all, of the last few matchday threads. You're confusing people actively ignoring you with not being disagreed with.
