Senesi makes so much sense, he's free and he's got PL experience and he ain't all that bad. I'm not one who thinks we need CB's this summer, we need to give Yoro and Heaven more time on the pitch, we've got Maguire & Martinez and Shaw can also cover LCB. Trying to bolster the CB positions with anyone better than that lot will cost us big money. And let's give Armer & Kukonki some minutes and hope they can make the step up.
Appreciate that our defence looks wobbly most of the time but I think more time on the training pitch and also less rotation will bring stability.

Given their respective age profiles and injury histories, it’s safe to assume that at least one of Shaw, Martínez, De Ligt, or Maguire will be unavailable for the bulk of the season. I think that is why Van de Ven was specifically named as he can cover 2 positions. I would try Armer and Kukonki in pre-season, but to me seem some distance from being ready for the first team.
