Fuck. Me.
We've barely won a game this side of Christmas, never mind back to back!
6 wins, 6 draws and 14 losses in 26 games. Scale that up over a full season and by my slightly shonky maths we're looking at something like 28-35 points aka fighting relegation.

36 points, on average, is enough to stay in the Prem.

In fact can someone with more time and brain cells than me figure this out?

His point per game average is 0.92.

Over 38 games, it's bang on 35 points.

So yeah, relegation form.

Shit system and a manager and partial owner [Ineos] who won’t admit it.

So there you go. It has to change or we might be relegated.

Do you give Amorim the benefit of the doubt and risk having to fire him 5 games in when no decent alternatives are available, or recognise it was a mistake and act in the summer when alternatives might exist?
A real dilemma for Ineos.

Agreed. Either way they look stupid, which is why the most logical course is to stick to their guns after making such a fuss about bringing him in. Give him more than Dorgu and refresh the feeling by trimming the squad and see what that brings.

I reckon we'll be better but not great and it'll be enough to keep him in a job for next season. Then they'll assess.

I still back him, maybe I'm in the minority.

It won't be this bad next season. We won't be in a relegation battle.

He has come into what was a shit show mid season, and tried to implement a massive change in how the team plays. More suited players, an actual forward who can score and hold the ball up, and a preseason will make a difference. We won't be challenging for the title, but we won't be this bad.

If it continues to be shit next season and we're on track for a relegation fight, I can see Southgate being in with a shout. The media will certainly push him. He'll steady the ship with his risk averse football.

Wasn't it Ashworth who was a fan of Southgate? If so, hopefully that means we'd go for someone else.

I'm still fully on board with Ruben BTW. I have questioned his team selections a couple of times but I think he needs more of his own players. Ineos did their due diligence and he is their guy, so I'm backing their judgment on this.

I think any manager would struggle with this lot. Any improvement would be temporary before the players go back to normal form.

I like the fact that he stuck to his system.
The bad players are shit regardless of the system so why should Amorim change his system to accommodate these garbage players?
The young players will have had some time to adapt to his system by now.
Throw the rest out and Amorim will have had an advantage next season.

Get rid of all of these players. Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Garnacho, Zirkzee, Hojlund, Malacia, Shaw, Lindelof, Lisandro, Eriksen, Onana and maybe Mount. Amorim said Mount puts a lot of effort to get back into fitness so I'll consider keeping him. The others are not good enough, too old or injury prone.

I think it's crucial that we throw all these guys out even if we don't replace too many of them.
Many of them aren't available to play anyway, either because of injury or loans. If we don't lose them, the rot will continue into the next season.
