I never took to him. I wanted him gone as soon as he said “relegation is a possibility”. No Manchester United manager should ever be accepting of that. This small sample size under Carrick really highlights how much of a clown Amorim was.

It'll be interesting to see what clubs are interested in Amorim. Spurs weren't, don't think Palace are, nor West Ham.

As much as his football would suit the finish thing, like City, his attitude, man management and tactical fundamentalism are major flaws and have probably put top teams off hiring him.

A return to Portugal is probably most likely. His tactical fundamentalism worked in their league. Can't see it working elsewhere, like Ten Hag whose now not even a manager.

Don't know about you but I feel like he should be punished. We need the football equivalent of the Hague where we can put managers on trial. Only the fucking horrendous ones like Jose, Conte etc. Ones that actively disgrace clubs and do damage.

Unfortunately he wasn't one of our post-Fergie managers who got asked for a list of his own personal favourite players, so I reckon the chances are slim. The 5 first-teamers we signed with him as manager were mostly picks from above him.

Maybe he'll take Ugarte though as he managed him at Sporting too and Italy might be a good league for him. Maybe Zirkzee too who has plenty of admirers there.
