Designed by the guys who did Wembley, which I've never been too, but based on what I've heard, doesn't create the best in game atmosphere. So that's a little concerning.

Sad to be leaving OT, but its probably the right decision for the longer term.

We'll have the best stadium in the championship by far!

Not that my/our opinions matter at all, but I get the feeling that whatever plans they would've shown us, I'd have thought they were shit anyway.

But it's not being built for me tbf so let them do what they want. £2bn seems mental when we're in all that debt but if you believe those that are more ofay with this stuff, infrastructure funding shouldn't be a big problem.

I was in the 'new stadium camp' over the alternative of staying at OT. It'll be a wrench to leave, but we have to.

The plans look phenomenal. It could be transformational for the club and the City as a whole. The funding won't be an issue, there'll be a clamour of investors looking to get a slice.

Coupled with Ratcliffe's interview yesterday, the future does at least look like it has the chance of being brighter. There'll be plenty of shit to eat along the way mind.

The timing of this is interesting, after Ratcliffe's two interviews with the media. They're countering the negative flak.

I'm also sad to leave Old Trafford. The Glazer cunts have let it go to ruin. It's their fault, their neglect and indifference has ruined what was one of the greatest stadiums in the world. More than that, a place of powerful connection and memories. They're utter cunts and I'll never forgive em.

I'm up for a new stadium but if it's a shit US style corporate experience I'll also blame the gimp cunts for that as well. A lot of trust is being put on the architects to make the stadium good and not a soulless bowl.

I've just seen the plans - fuck me. It certainly is a global destination. It's significant, imposing. But the stands have to be steep, the seats closish together, and we have to be close to the pitch or else it'll be shite.

It looks like it will include shops, businesses and fan areas which they can monetise - like City are doing with their giant screens. That's essential for new revenue.

Can also see what looks like 4 levels of cooperate / exec boxes. That's loads, but it's fine, let them stay there and let the boisterous fans have stands. With 100k capacity they would be able to offer a significant number of seats at an affordable price.

Why would they make the tickets affordable when they know they'll sell them anyway at a higher price? Rat-cliffe has already been jizzing his pants about the prices for London clubs and over City's model.

The new stadium will be capitalism on steroids, they won't give a flying shit about our roots or the local community, just about how much money they can make for their sponsors to squirrel away into offshore accounts. All modern infrastructure projects are just a new way to rob us, and football is one of the worst offenders.

The main reason would be to ensure there is a good atmosphere at the new stadium.

But I've no idea how important or not that is for Ratcliffe.

I used to have a season ticket so the current stadium will aways hold fond memories, but we have to move with the times.

The new stadium looks stunning in the video put out by the club I hope I will get to go there at least once

If Ratcliffe has any sense he'll recognise one of the key selling points of Man United is the stretford end; their chants, passion etc. That needs to be maintained in more than just name. It's why you need a good chunk of affordable tickets so boistrous fans can go. But like Felwin said, they probably won't. Football clubs are abandoning season ticket holders and affordable prices in favour of wealthy tourists.

Everything sounded great but I'm a little underwhelmed by the capacity.
100k is good but Ratcliffe was talking about making this the world's best stadium. If you want to future proof the status, I'd have gone with around 120k seats.
Nou Camp is 100k already I think, and I've heard they're planning to expand the capacity by a bit.

At the very least, I hope it's easily extendible without the need for too many approvals and other bureaucratic hassles.

I also preferred an industrial look but I guess most people don't.
