What wage is this cunt on?
Hard to know for sure, especially as the media always report them including all possible bonuses to make it sound sensational. Cunha was reportedly on £80k a week at Wolves but suddenly a few weeks back that jumped to £120k at Wolves, rising to £200k for us.
Subtract the sensationalism, all the bonuses and factor in the wage structure being rethought and you're talking maybe £150-160k for us,
One thing is for sure, it'll be less than Sancho and Rashford.
Tbf to Ineos, they've worked hard to get the wage bill down. It's been the main focus for a couple of years - before Ineos tbf.
Ratcliffe also publicly named players and highlighted their overall cost to the club eg transfer fee plus wages. I think he named Sancho as one of them. So I'd be surprised if the new signings are on stupid Woodward esque money. It would undo a lot of hard work. It's also not doable under PSR / FFP which is something the club are trying to adhere to.
I can't remember where I read or heard it (maybe Ed on one of the podcasts), but once Sancho, Rashford and Casemiro are off the books, our wage outlay will be around the 5th/6th highest in the league. So the Europa League level that Ineos are aiming for. Eriksen leaving is a big chunk gone, Varane and Martial last summer were big chunks. None were massive earners but McT, Greenwood, Wan-Bissaka and van de Beek all went too so even if Cunha and other signings earn well, it simply won't be the same levels as before.
