So we "finally" got our man,

Lots of news of the details starting to come out now, too. Brentford apparently changed their asking price several times and at one point wanted close to £80m, telling Mbeumo he should reduce his salary demands to make up the difference (i.e. more money for Brentford, less for him). Honestly it's making them look a bunch of cunts tbf.

But anyway, he's here and let's hope he can perform. Probably better to take it one game at a time these days, rather than get too excited. I do think he has a bit of the Georgey Best about him though with his stature and snake hips. If only it were as easy as the 70s where you could turn up to work pissed and still batter everyone.

Aye, those were the days. And fags in the dressing room before the game...

This is a perfectly reasonable negotiation strategy. Brentford did what they could to drive up the fee.
We were free to walk away if they pissed us off but we didn't.

Exactly, this is the problem. People are screaming on social media about how long it took to get the deal done, but are oblivious to the inner workings of the deal, or what is going on.

"Fan" accounts like united stand are massive problem at stirring up discontent. He thrives on utd being shite.
Brentford were ballbags, and by all accounts, it seems like we didn't just bend over, and got a decent deal in the end.

Fans want a reset of how we get shafted, and if it takes a bit longer to get deals done to do this so be it.

On one hand - fans are shouting "Get this fucking deal done now"

Also - fans saying if deal is done quick " why did we over pay x amount, the club is ran by mugs".

Any case, I'm hopeful Mbuemo does the business. Premium experience, he works hard off the ball, and carries it really well.

If we do get a forward, it'll be a completely reformed front line, just have to hope the coach gets it to gel, and they all click quickly.

Though he was excellent yesterday. Looks a genuine United player, as does Cunha I think.

One thing that strikes me about him is that he doesn't fucking give up. Constantly getting into space and running. He seems to have already developed a bit of an understanding with Amad as well although much of that is probably just having two players on one flank who aren't fucking thick.

I think what Dozer is trying to say is that he knew everything all along and that everyone else has no idea. What he knows and what everyone else knows changes between posts. - Felwin 31/10/2024

He looks like a really good player.
Cunha too, but I'm more unsure so far, because he needs to score.
Mbuemo seems to run out of gas after 70 minutes though. He's a fitness enthusiast so hopefully he'll pick up soon.

Agreed. He looks fantastic so far. Threatening, scary to play against, gorgeous technique. Reminds me a bit of Mata at times but obviously much faster and harder to knock off the ball.

I'd rather have him 70 mins at full pelt and then subbing him for someone who gives us 20 mins at full pelt than having him jog about gently for 90 minutes.

Him and Cunha have made a massive difference to us and once Sesko gets up to full match fitness, we will start putting away a lot more of those chances we have missed in our first three league games.

I just hope the doom and gloom at United doesn't make him shit or ruin his mental health. Same for Cunha and Sesko. When Burnley got it back to 2-2 you could see the beginning of it happening.
