Wes Brown is set to be declared fit for the weekend’s game against Arsenal, according to reports today. The defender, who has suffered a series of injuries throughout his United career, has been hampered with a thigh problem this season. But the Manchester-born defender is set to offer manager Sir Alex Ferguson additional options as United’s defensive injury problems begin to ease. With Nemanja Vidic making his first appearance of the season against Wigan Athletic last Saturday, Johnny Evans requiring an ankle operation and Rio Ferdinand unfit for another three weeks, Brown may start against Arsene Wenger’s side.
