Outcast Manchester United winger Nani will stay at the club until next summer, according to a report on Goal.com today. Nani, who has not started for Sir Alex Ferguson’s team since 8 December, has been unable to secure a move away despite reported interest from AC Milan and Fiorentina. United also reportedly offered the winger to Benfica.
“There are always links and stories about Nani, but I am sure that he will not leave Manchester United in January,” Nani’s agent Jorge Mendes told Goal.com.
“In the summer? Maybe, after the World Cup. But, at the moment this would be too difficult and he will not leave Manchester. Any talk of a move will have to wait.
“He has not been offered to other clubs through his agent as this would be illegal and not moral without Manchester United’s permission. For now, I am convinced he stays.”
Nani, whose full name is Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha, has featured just 14 times for United this campaign, including 12 starts and two appearances from the bench. But the player, who joined United in a £17 million deal in June 2007, has fallen out of favour following a series of infuriatingly inconsistent performances.

Then why the F*ck isn’t he even making it to the bench? If this spell out of the first team gets him some much needed confidence then so be it… but he isn’t even playing for the reserves… so, what’s up with that?
Currently injured but there’s not much chance of him being in the team anyway.
Oh dear the Nani problem continues then. Is his problem only mental or do people think he’s just not good enough?
Nani, whose full name is Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha
then why is his name Nani then FFS how does that fit in
I think the expectations of Nani were so high when Ronaldo left that he hasn’t really been given a chance.I also think if he was to be given a consistent run of games he would certainly make a superb first team player for united.Alex didn’t want to loose Ronaldo so was expecting Nani to replace him with his slick play and skills. It was never going to happen.
Nani is a good player, he needs game to prove it. His cross against WOLFSBURG in the Champions league was superb. He needs to pick up his head & look for players in the box before crossing. He also scored good long distance goals. I think he should stay with United & prove his critics
Nani without a doubt is a good player, he just needs to uses a little more common sense in the third half of the pitch and pat in the back for Sir Alex to boost his confidence. Filling in CR’s shoe is challenge not just to Nani but to the club at well. He just need some time. I’m sure he will prove his worth in days to come….
