Sir Alex Ferguson left Wayne Rooney out of Manchester United’s squad for the 3-3 draw at Everton today, citing the abuse his striker receives at Goodison Park. It’s a first from the Scot who does not normally shield his players from opposition crowds: Eric Cantona returned to Elland Road and Paul Ince to Upton Park, for example.
Did Ferguson make the right decision is taking Rooney out of the firing line?

i voted yes, because rooney didnt effect the result, nani being an idiot and our play in stoppage time cost us the game.
before the game i thought rooney should be playing so he could shut up his critics, however we dont know his state of mind, so sending him in to what was already an emotional game could of backfired and hopefully he can stick it to rangers and liverpool.
Nani an idiot? Really? Did you even watch this game?
We had enough to win today, so yeah
He was wrong not to strengthen in summer
Fucking cunt, psh
defence let us down today, not attack – so nope.
