It had to come to an end one day. But how typical of City. On their big day, United just had to go and win something bigger. We enjoyed your company. Now Rest in Peace. 35 Years.

Well, lets have it for the city of Manchester. Red and blue halves cleaning up — and we are still going to win the CL, the big one. Heard there were two other cities in England, one called London, and the other called Liverpool, but that’s probably just an urban legend.
Let’s see if they’re polishing silver when either the oil runs out, or there’s an Egypt style uprising against their corrupt rulers. Imagine all the country’s wealth being squandered on whores, yachts and City, when most of the population live in beggary and squalor (I’m talking about Abu Dhabi not Liverpool mind you)
Have you lived here in order to talk about it that way. Don’t get me wrong it ain’t easy anywhere in the world at the moment. But at least we have security, more job opportunities are being seen in the Market and much more to be proud of. No comparisons with wherever you reside but Abu Dhabi or the UAE is in a class of it’s own. Rebuilding takes times but investors are still flocking the local markets to have a piece of the pie. I AM A Red Devil through and through no disrespect to City but they have done well. Cherish the moment might be the only one… Hahahahahah
The banner should now change be changed from 35 to 43 to mark City’s win. Anyone can win an FA Cup. Portsmouth did it in 2008. Now lets see ye do the League.
Yes, let’s show some class. And be happy that their insanely jealous moaning and whining and needling is probably going to come to an end (getting sick of the `tick tock’ this and `tick tock’ that: don’t they have a bit more imagination?). Think how Liverpool will feel if they are phased out as our true rivals. And, truth be told, we do hate them more than we hate City: a team for whom our antipathy has always been tinged with a little pathos: there was a time when it looked that they were going to completely self-destruct as they plunged down the divisions. Truth be told, as perversely delighted as we would have been to find ourselves de facto Manchester’s only club, we would have soon been sad too (coz how many of us don’t have families divided between red and sky blue, and aren’t those rivalries, both intense… but also fun? When I was a student in Manchester in the late 70s I watched them occasionally and they weren’t that bad (easy to get to see them because I lived in Carnforth St, right next to maine Road). Question is: how are they going to handle their arriviste status and oily lucre? Are thyey going to develop style and class? Are they going to be able to do it to Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal home and away (becuase that’s how you win the league championship in the most convincing of manners?) At the moment they are so scared that they play with an ultra defensive team that seems full of holding midfielders. Things are going to change: and. like it or not, they are going to start winning things. I know there are some intellectually challenged bloggers here who think that they are are going to decline, disintegrate and disappear because that is their destiny, because they are City. Sorry, we have to live with them in their new finicial power. Ironic thing is: who are the model that they wish to emulate: us. So, no more humiliating banners that point out City’s lack of league championships: but let’s really give it to Liverpool with the nunununununu nineteen.
Stretford Flags have a new Banner in mind, the lads there knew the Stockport MASSIVE may have won the Cup so have somethin in mind,Id have Banner with 135, Ist Trophy in 35 years, whatever, it will take the piss out of Liams lot!
alf, i almost agree withyou, but if we do that the bitters will just not see the irony…they’ll be thinking ” yeah, thats put them utd cunts in their place..knocked them off their perch by winning the cup etc etc”
Alf, you gotta understand the citeh mentality a bit more mate…it would be lost on them…remember, this is why the scarves were given out at the Munich anniversary game when we played city…..so that they could get away with the arms out wide thing but with all the stadium doing it no one got upset

Doesn’t matter whether they get it or not… United fans would come off looking classy and dignified… and if the Bitter cunts make arseholes of themselves… all the better.

eastlands = 110 million, takeover price = 200 million, player transfers 350 million, Manchester City = Classless

Erm, what?
How long since City won the League?
New banner, up the years to 43 or 44 is it, since they won the league 😉
The banner should now change be changed from 35 to 43 to mark City’s win. Anyone can win an FA Cup. Portsmouth did it in 2008. Now lets see ye do the League.
ffs..cant change it to leagues now ffs.. let it die… put up a tally of giggsys trophys
Put up, 19-2.
Welcome to Manchester: 19 Leagues, 4 European Cups, 11 FA Cups.
Manchester City will hold an FA Cup parade on Monday 23rd May and Manchester United will parade the title in Manchester on Monday May 30th.
Aye, now let’s see them win the league; a different discipline entirely
Put up:
‘Top of the Perch (and Manchester).’
fuck them smalltime cunts.. praise our own,
or maybe just leave ot there as a reminder of how shite they are
surely we shud put up a banner with 48 on it, the number of years since they won the league!
Aye… in fact I’d like to see us show a bit of class, and put up a “Well Done City” banner for the Blackpool game.
Sometimes the best way to shame someone, is to show class when not expected, and allow them to humiliate themselves by their own lack of it.
I doubt the Bitters could resist the chance of making total cocks of themselves, if given the chance.
I’m with you. They’d hate us applauding them :o)

We talk about effciency! Why pay more if we just get so ‘little’. It’s a waste. MU buy cheap and sell expensive – that is good business
dont be stupid.. its petty and ridiculous. we are not city, thats what they would do.
Stretford Flags have a new Banner in mind, the lads there knew the Stockport MASSIVE may have won the Cup so have somethin in mind,Id have Banner with 135, Ist Trophy in 35 years, whatever, it will take the piss out of Liams lot!
I agree Tel… but I won’t be surprised if a new banner goes up saying exactly that.
How about a new song or 2?
“How much did your trophy cost? How much did your trophy cost?”
or..
“This is how it feels to be citeh,
how we love to give ya the gears
finally won a trophy and
it only took ya 35 years!”

How about we just reset it to zero?
The most expensive trophy ever bought.
Yeah, well we all feel really inferior now.
