Fans attending tomorrow’s match against Liverpool will sport classic replica kits in a subtle dig at the Glazer family’s continuing ownership of Manchester United. With the Green & Gold revolution, understandably, low key in the opening weeks of the season, supporters will continue the protest against the regime by wearing only pre-Glazer kit.
So dig out your shirts from 2004 and before, whether it’s a 1960s classic, a ‘Steve Coppel’ ’80s retro or perhaps United’s – frankley hideous – Addias Rumbelows Cup winning shirt (above). The choice is yours.
I bought my last shirt when I was 12! Not sure it would fit me anymore.
Or, just wear a t-shirt with “The Glazers are Parasites”… in big bold letters.
I’ll be watching at home, but for the sake of solidarity, I’ll be wearing one of my favorite replica shirts: the ’92-’94 home shirt.
