Andersred’s breakdown of the Glazer family’s £437 million cost to Manchester United since the Americans acquired the club is shocking for the massive waste. Spent on interest, management fees and loans to the family, MUST argues that the money would have allowed United supporters into the ground for free in the past five years.
No wonder Sir Alex Ferguson has said United won’t spend this summer, with the Glazers taking out at least £70 million in dividends, the Scot has no money for transfers despite ceo David Gill’s continuous assertion to the contrary.
Aside from offering United fans free entry to Old Trafford what else could the £437 million do? Buy an entirely new team that’s what!
Drawn from players likely to move this summer, Rant’s team of new players is based on fees speculated in recent media reports. Unfortunately we couldn’t spend enough of the Glazers’ wasted cash so we bought seven substitutes too.
We’ve even got £6,500,000 left over to throw the biggest Glazer Out party the world has ever seen!

I really, really hope that this “one” player Fergie is talking about is David Silva. We need some creativity in midfield, someone who can score goals other than Rooney and someone who can link the midfield with attack better than what we have.
Could we look like:
—————Van der Sar————-
Rafael—–Ferdinand—–Vidic—–Evra
Valencia—Fletcher—-Hargreaves—Nani
—————–Silva—————–
—————–Rooney—————-
I truly agree with you 100%
This is well thought of and everywhere and everyone who`s a man u fan and has closelly followed the perfomance of our team and at the same time been waching silva play will undoubtedly agree with you.Fagie has to sign this wonderboy; forget Ribbery, Benzima and Dimaria. May be to a lesser comparison Suarez if only Ajax can be reasonable in their asking prize
Di Maria £38????????? Sign me up
Why make up this stuff? Why don’t you and Andy Green just tell the truth? We’d respect you much more if you did.
Come on then, tell us your “truth” …
Like your team though!
poor article. you are clearly considering that no other teams will bid for the players, or in a perfect world maybe. do you really think that you can buy these players and the likes of man city, barca, real madrid, chelsea will remain quiet. The prices considered above are clearly below par in todays market, starting bids maybe. please grow up and think before u write something so garbage…
I think the fact this is posted in Just for Fun, allied to your reaction, means you need to find a sense of humour!
Why argue between yourself… I agree some transfer valuations are alittle ambitious, but given that it says “..Drawn from players likely to move this summer, Rant’s team of new players is based on fees speculated in recent media reports.” I find some of you Utd fans astound me!
How about get behind Utd fans and get behind the sentiment of the article! Thanks Ed for the article, it does help draw a picture!!! More “fun” articles to make me laugh at work please!!! lol
Another season of over acheiving is required .The days of United buying or even bidding for the best players are long gone,we are turning a bit like Arsenal nowadays.
