Ole Gonnar Solskjaer
Manchester United were beaten at Old Trafford by Burnley, a side that began the day in 14th place. Despite taking 26 shots, United rarely tested Nick Pope in the Burnley goal, while the away side scored with two fine strikes. Ed & Paul digest the fallout from yet another disastrous defeat. Is it time for Ole to go? Will the club invest in the transfer market with just 10 days until it closes? Why has Woodward hired a Director of Spin before a Director of Football?
We end with a look ahead to Sunday’s FA Cup game against Watford or Tranmere (we didn’t know which at the time of recording), and in the wake of the Gritty affair, for backers, we discuss our favourite sports mascots.

Great work guys. There is something quite original about this. The intelligence shines through deservedly – like the light through my badly drawn Australian blinds. Before I realised there was no need because the smoke was doing the job.
I’m from Salford ‘originally’ – whatever that means and I left Manchester in 2013. The appraisal of the omni-shambles is missing this key part I think. It is clearly my fault.
I’ll come back for 2 grand a week and my choice of executive box for every game-be it home or away. You must have contacts? Can you not tell them?!
It’s not the worst ‘business deal’ in sporting history – nor is it the players bought under 5 managers.
Perhaps a song could lift the mood?
Don’t blame it on the Solskjaer. Don’t blame it on the Van Gaal. Don’t blame it on the Mo times. Blame it on the noodles.
Laughed so much when Paul spoke truly of the ongoing horror and then shouted, “UNITED”. Comedy gold. That was in the last podcast I think?
Time is an abstract theory they say.
It is – in this transfer window at utd!
Keep up the good work:)
Great show, as always. What podcast were you referring to about injuries and long-termism? Can’t make it out.
