Come on You Reds!
On this week’s goalgasmic show Ed & Paul look back at United’s disastrous 4-4 draw with Everton at Old Trafford last weekend – was this the weekend the title race turned? We talk Player of the Year Awards, Paul Scholes, Jonny Evans, Michael Owen and the Champions League semi-finals. We also chat with Shaun Birch, founder of the fine United blog beautifullyred.co.uk. But the big focus this week is, of course, Monday’s tie with Manchester City at Eastlands. In a game that will surely decide the Premier League title, how will the Reds come back from disapointment to ensure a result at Eastlands?

I just want the game to be over too. Win or lose, cant really stand the build up. I’m not going to enjoy a single second of that game.
Ah ‘Come On You Reds’….there’s a blast from the past! I bought that single on cassette when it came out!! Love it.
I’m confident we can score at the Etihad on Monday…..the question is: can we concede fewer goals than we score? Hope springs eternal.
But as one famous Red once said: “Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane.”
Come On Your Reds!
If City win I’ll become an institutionalised man.
if we beat city to the title, i will donate £100 to the rant cause
What Iam enjoying about this is that Manchester can boost that it has the best football teams in the country. London clubs will not have any bragging rights for a long long time. The EPL will start to look like the Scottish Premier Division where its either Glascow Celtic or Glascow Rangers every season with the other teams some 18 points behind.
If City win the title, so be it. This will be a wake up call to SAF and I’m sure he is going after one more Champions League title before he retires. There are a few world class players coming in this summer, this is not a joke. Remember, I told you so. United will be a force to rekon with come next season.
And all you United fans having nightmares, remember its not the end of the world. Its only a football game, so play it hard but play it clean. If we can bring in world class youngsters into our academy, we will be a future force like Barcelona. I have a team in my country that are now the league champions and all the players in the team came up through the under 10 year-olds team and now these guys are late teens and early twenties. So they have been playing together for almost 10 years, thats why the team is so good.
They know every move each other makes and thats what is lacking at Man.United. Get me Pepe Guardiola and he can show us how it is done!
Paul bottles the prediction in favour of popularity!! Two one city for me with SAF playing Rafael and Rooney more as a forward than as an attacking midfielder. I would go with Smalling and Rooney deeper. City just have better players than us and the Argie duo of Aguero and Tevez will be decisive. Boooooooooo!
Bench: Amos Smalling Jones Giggs Cleverley Young Hernandez. Berbatov to miss out altogether, criminal but the likely scenario.
