Back in Black (and Blue and Red)
Welcome back. After a long summer break your favourite United podcast returns with a full review of the summer – United’s inactivity in the transfer market, Wayne Rooney’s shenanigans and the pre-season tour to Asia. It has been one of the most dramatic summers in the club’s long history, with Sir Alex Ferguson stepping down in April to be replaced by David Moyes. Yet the new manager has encountered significant frustration, with a series of seemingly failed bids for central midfielders. But have Moyes and the new United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward been culpable in an embarrassing set of market gaffes? On the theme of Old Trafford’s bean counters the squad flew more than 25,000 miles touring Asia and Australia. It hasn’t been a wholly successful tour on the pitch, although three young players stood out. With preview the season, including some predictions for the campaign ahead. Finally, we look forward to Sunday’s Community Shield match with Championship side Wigan Athletic at Wembley.

NEVER LEAVE ME AGAIN
aaaaaand relax!
You complete me..
Thank god I can come out of hibernation. my life just isn’t worth living for the 3 months united rant isn’t on 😉
I have 4 rants (1) i wish fergie had kept his mouth shut about Rooney and just left moyes to deal with it. Instead he just had to have one final say as i respect the man who has built the club and turned united into the top club in England in this occasion hes put unites and moyes in and awkward position. (2) i understand how valuable Rooney is to the club but sell hi e to Chelsea fuck off he signed a co tract i for one say run his 2 years down and then he can leave for free. The club is i. Charge we own you matey plus theres a world cup next year he will soon start playing. (3) i am embarrassed by the way we have tried to sign cesc fabregas its pathetic how desperate have we looked hes at his dream club been there 2 years we were never gonna get him. And we have wasted nerlly a month trying to get him well done Woodward u fucking idiot we could have brought in the 2 players we need and been able for moues to bed then in the squad. (4) i don’t want us to silly buy i think nani is gonna revitalized with moyes coming in. chito is probably in the too 10 proper goal scorers in world football his goals per game ratio is a good as anyone’s for of moyes gives him 35 to 45 games this season and i mean starts games he will challenge for the golden boot and i would exspect he will score close to 30 goals. And as for spending big if we don’t buy i think we got enough zaha januzej and lingard on the tour were awesome and i think against the lesser teams in the league could score goals and do a job to allow rest for r main players. Don’t get mi wrong i would start them against a top 8 side cause we need r exsperienc players door that but from 12th down why not these 3 r gonna be future bit we need to show trust in them or just like pique and poh a we will lose them
That’s pogba not poh lol bloody pre text
What a welcome surprise!
I really do not agree that Moyes will have any time to build. If we are out of the Champions League places he is gone. Simple as.
Not on a 6 year contract u cant just get rid because we get knocked out of champs group stages hive him time he will come good
Couldn’t agree more John. Why people are giving Dave Moyes jip before the season has started is beyond me. He’s openly admitted the midfield is where we need to strengthen… something that Sir Alex didn’t.
I know things r doing mi head in rios testo was always gonna b a funny game with such an important match on Sunday and with everybody looking to get a place in the starting 11 they weren’t gonna over excert themselves
So very grateful to have you back! I’ve never felt so alone in the footballing world as I did this summer.
