Down and Out in the Potteries
On this week’s show we look back on a disastrous result at Stoke City with David Moyes’ hapless side losing 2-1 in the Potteries. On a day when few could remember a performance quite so pitifully abject, Moyes’ side reached what supporters can only hope is finally the nadir in a disastrous season. Time, they say, is what Moyes needs to rebuild his squad and make it his own; time the Scot is unlikely to get unless results and performances improve before the season’s end. Also on the show this week: we discuss the managerial market, with Swansea’s Michael Laudrup sacked. We also look back on the transfer window and ahead to the changes that might happen in the squad next summer, and talk about a manager who appears to say all the wrong things. Finally, we take your questions and look ahead to two matches in the coming week: Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday, and then Arsenal in the Capital on Wednesday night.

Moyes well on his way to oblivion…..the next 3 matches will tell a tale……….
Tight.
Is that tight good or tight bad? 🙂
Of the excellent variety.
In my view we’ve made a mistake. I am torn between giving Moyes time and a sack. On balance we have to leave through our mistake. If there is no increamental imrovement and a fantastic start next season, we should say farewell to him at xmas 14.
This is not 86. We were top 3 richest clubs until last month and were champions of england. We can not afford to fall behind the top 4 for more than a year.
If there was any reason to give him time, then yes, do it. But Moyes has shown absolutely nothing that leads me to believe more time changes anything. We have seen who Moyes is. It doesn’t get better. And there is no plan.
Give him more time if you wish, but I think Daisy Moyes is living on enough borrowed time, as it is.
