Bored Stiff
Goals. There was a time when United scored them. Sometime before Sir Alex Ferguson retired, as the pod recalls. There were none as United drew with Newcastle at Old Trafford on Saturday; and just two in three Premier League games this season. Ed & Paul look back on an uninspiring game. Is the Dutchman’s obsession with possession making football boring? There’s also a look back on United’s victory over Club Brugge in the Champions League – a 3-1 win leaving United close to a return to the Champions League proper. Also on the show: your questions answered, a preview of United’s weekend fixture with Swansea in Wales and a quick look ahead to the game with Liverpool after the international break.

I hope this isn’t too boring for you guys.
The only thing I don’t like about the rantcast is that it won’t go on forever.
That and the left-wing politics. 😉
nice one, always stick latest ep on whilst I’m stood in the kitchen rustling somethin’ up
Cheer up lads, Rooney and Carrick are sure to come back from the international break with knocks/injuries that keep them out for a few matches, forcing us to play Herrera and Anyone-but-Rooney up front, resulting in exciting football.
Nothing against Carrick.
Brilliant P-cast again!!!
Just wanted to pick up a little niggle in my head about De Gea. Recall, when we signed him, Fergie went public early and De Gea’s reps denied it… I wonder if De Gea was upset with Fergie’s public position and is now seeking revenge by not signing extension… #toofar?
“United manager Sir Alex Ferguson claimed that a deal had been done to bring De Gea to Old Trafford, but this was later denied by the player’s representatives and the Atlético management, with De Gea stating that he would not consider his future until after the UEFA Under-21 Championship.”
