Victory!
New Year, new United. Well, not quite, but Louis van Gaal’s team did at least secure victory for the first time since November as the Reds beat Swansea at Old Trafford. The win keeps United in the hunt for a Champions League place after a disastrous December. Also on this week’s pod Ed & Paul look back on the Christmas programme, with United losing – in humiliating fashion – at Stoke on Boxing Day, and then securing a draw with Chelsea. There’s a brief discussion about transfers as the January window opens, and a look forward to United’s upcoming matches against Sheffield United in the FA Cup and Newcastle in the League.

that’s my morning commute sorted
72 is what Waye needs to topple Shearer. If he plays in a team that actually creates loads of chances for him then he could easily score 20 a season for the next 4 seasons. Under Van Gaal, not a hope in hell.
Rooney will not topple Shearer. Not because of LvG, but because Rooney is not as good a striker as Shearer. Rooney peaked in 2011 or so — THAT was when he lost his chance to topple Shearer.
He can easily score on average 12 a season for 6 seasons. You’re having a gigantic laugh if you don’t think a player of his calibre in the right system can’t score 12 a season. He scored 17 as top scorer under Moyes and 12 as top scorer Van Gaal last year. He’s on target for 6 this season and our biggest goal threat is on target for 10. This system is 100% the problem with the entire team scoring goals. Not one player.
We put 4 past City mate. Shame you forgot that one
Sorry but we’re still crap.
That Chelsea team was awful. So was Swansea.
Mata is done. Done. Played good for 20 minutes against Chelsea, that’s it. Regardless whose fault it is, he has been Kagawa’d.
