True, there have been worse performances under Louis van Gaal, including this season, but have there been any more damning of the manager, more embarrassing to the team, or more acutely speaking to the need to change course? Very, very few. And if Van Gaal is under more pressure because of defeat on Merseyside, then it is hardly eased by United’s limp draw with West Ham at Old Trafford in the FA Cup. And in other news United have just signed a three year sponsorship with Gulf oil. Why are we still supporting this club? Seriously? Ed and his American friends must laugh it up; ‘whatever shit we pull here the fans will keep coming! We can’t lose!’. We’ve become inadvertent supporters of a cynical corporation that couldn’t care less about entertainment value. We’re laughing at Van Gaal but the joke is very much on us. I would say this weeks podcast was relatively upbeat actually…
