I dont see how Juan Mata will do a better job in a no 10 than wayne rooney ina Jose team, As much as rooney is bad on the ball, his work rate in tracking back is something i dont see Mata do.Unless Mata improves his work rate, i only see rooney playing no 10 and you never know, its only 2 games, rooney might actually do well in the role under Joses management.I wouldnt mind giving it a chance.
I think Jose will start Mkthitaryan against City, i think hes being prepared to be unleashed against city, catch them on surprise and pull one over pep.
Suspect we’ll still have the ‘give Rooney a chance’ crowd in 12 months when he’s booted out to China
