Instt gratificioside, I definitely see no good coming out of hiring Mourinho if you like to watch exciting, quality football. And, surely, to persuade Mourinho to get on board, he will want to be his own G.M. I definitely think that bringing back Carlos Queiroz as everything BUT man-manager of the team, alongside Solsskjaer would be worthwhile. Neither Moyes nor O’Neill has won anything close to a major trophy. Everton losing the Cup Final to Chelsea told me everything I needed to know and managing Celtic doesn’t man a lot more than Solskjaer’s small feat(which you disparage).
If Fergie does retire after 2010/2011 and Neville/Scholes/Giggs/VDS do at the same time it is going to be one hell of a job!
Only somebody will Jose’s high level of confidence and track record of winning trophies need apply. Moyes and O’Neill are too much of a risk IMO.
I might be wrong but percentage it is a big risk to go with a manager who hasn’t won the big trophies. Would love Moyes to get it and do a great job though.
