Rooney actually got off to an unusually good start last year: he scored in the Community Shield, got the only goal in the season opener, and after failing to score against Burnley, got four goals in the next three EPL matches.
Well there you go, as normally we were talking shite! Season before he didn’t score until November.
I was expecting you two to rap your way through the podcast
Gutted
Sidders – it’s only a matter of time, yo.
Rob – yep – vintage rantcast!
Yes it was interesting and entertaining as always; keep it up.
Just checked it out.
Very niice.
Thanks for the plug!
3-1 win. Nani, Valencia and Vidic will score. It came to me in a dream last night.
hmm you talk about the Ozil deal… however those in the know say the personal terms with Real were agreed ages ago, and it was Barca who had a ‘name your price’ bid in the 11th hour – Ozil refused cos he only wanted Real, he said so himself.
United would never have been in the picture, they were never serious enough
Those in the know being?
Oh bollocks… he was just pimping himself around… a couple weeks back, he was saying Barcelona were his “dream” team.
Great listen as always. Have to take issue with the Anderson comments. I really think you over estimate his passing ability Ed. Compared to Scholes’ it is woeful for someone at this level. Harsh comparison yes, but if United are holding out for him to replace Scholes as a creative midfield he has to progress a hell of a lot.
Think that might be Paul over-estimating!
I’m not estimating at all, just forlornly hoping!
Whoopsies. I apologise. I was listening to the rantcast while going for a sunday cycle. I’ll have to pay more attention to it than the road next time.
