Paying the Ugly Tax
We take a look at the weekend’s fixture against Everton at Goodison Park, where the focus will be on (alleged) hooker-buying striker Wayne Rooney. We talk international football – Carlos Quieroz and Ryan Giggs – and finally the pod delves into the murky waters of overseas accents. Is Sccchteve McClaren still talking Double Dutch?

Completely accidental but natural slip of the tongue – called Paul Scholes, “Paul Goals”…
Giggs could be a good shout to start in the middle of midfield vs. Rangers.
Gibson doesn’t really warrant the start, but will be on the bench.
Anderson not ready to start yet and tweaked his injury vs. County for Reses.
Do you think Fergie regrets sending out Cleverley on loan?
Well we’re so light in the centre of the park – numbers but huge lack of creativity without Scholes. Giggs could play in the ‘hole’ tomorrow if Fergie decides to go with three in the central midfield. Always a hard call with Fergie.
Hargreaves, Anderson, Carrick all injured, Gibson out of form, Scholes and Giggs both one game a week men. If Fletch gets injured we really are stuffed!
Playing Park in a central 3 might yet be back in. I thought the midfield 3 against Milan at home, Park, Scholes and Fletcher worked really well.
A midfield with two of Scholes, Giggs, Carrick and Gibson worries me a bit, especially away from home.
The best 7 minutes and 20 seconds of television ever, or just in the top three?
… and the dénouement, the judges face when Omar says “it’s just all the game though, right?”
