Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number
On the pod – United’s midweek Carling Cup victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers and ahead to the games with Tottenham Hotspur and Bursaspor in the coming week. We say happy birthday to Edwin van der Sar and wonder who United will bring in to replace him. Finally, we take issue with Rio Ferdinand and explain exactly why Wayne Rooney wasn’t nominated for this year’s Ballon D’Or.

Another entertaining and informative podcast, guys. Thanks for the shout, Paul – unexpected, but appreciated. Making fun of Wales, though… I spent two very enjoyable years living in Bridgend, and am possibly going to return in late November in order to hang out with my best mate and friends from my old workplace, but my real priority will be to watch The Ashes.
Paul spent three years ‘enjoying’ the delights of Aberystwyth 🙂 At least you can throw yourself into the sea if it all gets too much.
You’ve got to time it just right, though. When the tide goes out in West Wales, it really goes out. A mistimed leap could cause one to find himself flopping about in the mud.
I meant to ask about his presence in Swansea. I’ve only ever been through the town – on the train to Tenby and back, learned everything I need to know about Swansea from watching Twin Town.
I really do genuinely absolutely love Wales! It’s one of my favourite places in the whole world. http://ljbarber.co.uk/images/elan_valley_dam01.jpg
There’s some spectacular places in Wales.
I love it there as well; would live there if I could. It would considerably reduce my life expectancy, though. I have had many nights out there wherein I have had more to drink than in an entire year in the States. Oh, what I wouldn’t give to go for a curry at the end of a night out… My best mate loves to torment me with the details of his weekly visits to Nat Raj. Bastard!
Yeah although this wasn’t one of Paul’s finest moments – http://sundaytheory.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/swansea_love_story_v.jpg?w=420&h=236
Now I understand his doubts about being around long enough to wish Gibson a happy 40th.
Why is it that about the second thing heard on this (and every) rantcast is a voice saying “True blue brother” ?
🙂
We really are gonna have to sort that out…Ed maintains that the voice sounds sarcastic when it says it.
Incidentally, Ed’s spreading spurious rumours about me, when the actual truth is that I’m a tea-total vegetarian and have been for more than 10 years!
Prett sure crack-cocaine is vegetarian. Just saying.
I didn’t for a moment imagine that that was roast beef you were injecting into your vein.
