Good show, guys. Paul was right. I remember living in Germany as a boy, watching the snow pour down (right, Ed), and thinking there’d be no school the next day, as I had a forty-minute bus ride into Munich to get to the high school for service brats. But those damned Germans had the roads plowed by morning, and off to school I went.
Contrast that with a few years later: living in North Carolina now, I’m already at school when it begins to snow; they sent us home at lunch. Ridiculous! You couldn’t even make a snowball without picking up a bunch of grass and pine needles.
Maybe now, Sir Alex can stop banging on about a winter break. I have a better solution to some of the fixture congestion: a Champions League that is just for champions; the three runners-up can f*ck off to the Europa League.
