You really hope Gibson scores so that the supporters can chant “You’ve finally found your level”?
Seriously I hope that was a joke but with all the comments slagging on Gibson on this site it most likely isn’t.
Gibson is pretty much United’s 4th midfielder. Cause of his age Scholes can’t be counted as a full time MF. He can’t play more than 1 match a week.
So that leaves Ando, Fletcher, Carrick. We are desperately thin there with the laughable Hargreaves situation. But yet most tactics these days provide for 3 central midfielders.
So Gibson may not be good enough but he’s extremely important to the team. Something no one talks about. Everyone seems to be too occupied with the fact that he’s not the best footballer in the world.
Same thing with Oshea, he played 3 positions on the weekend cause of injury, but he’s such shit we should get rid of him.
Not every player on a TEAM can be a world beater.
