Slabhead Strikes
NQAT is a L******l free zone. On today’s episode, United beat Norwich in the FA Cup to book a semi-final against Chelsea. United lacked fluency, with the game heading towards penalties before Harry Maguire slid home a winner. Ed & Paul look forward to Tuesday’s game against Brighton – a must win game if a place in next season’s Champions League is to be secured. For backers, a round-up of the week’s football.

Dear Sirs, after 14 unbeaten matches I am disappointed you would use so much time to critisise Solskaer for saying «lets play like a team again». Certainly agree this is not Winston Churchill-motivation, but how much do we actually know about inspired rethoric from the sidelines? And are 100% of the statements in-debt analysis and motivating? I doubt it and as once a (bad) footballer myself I know the language often is more about talking to yourself rather than anything.
On Solskaer; what is the alternative? Guardiola and Klopp are taken. Lampard? A new «top» international manager with all the risk coming with him? We have tried it all (after once won it all under SAF) and Ole gets great backing from the players, staff, press and even managment. Why critizise? If there were better options ok to discuss, but now it just seems stupid given the form and the attitude of squad – better than anytime after SAF.

I don’t think we need to be binary. Discussing Solskjaer’s strengths and weaknesses doesn’t mean “Ole out and let’s get X manager.”
