Same old Scouse, always loyal
The 37,697 attendance at Anfield last night for the Dipper’s 3-0 victory over West Ham United was the lowest for more than five years. The famously loyal fans deserted in droves, with large gaps apparent at the Anfield Road end and elsewhere. The excuse: fans from Ireland and Scandinavia were unable to get flights in for the game.
Not that Liverpool’s early exit from the Champions League and failure domestically had anything to do with it then? Don’t worry, next year will be yours Scouse friends. It always is.
Meanwhile, 46 per cent and counting of Liverpool supporters want their own side to lose against Chelsea on 2 May. Nothing like loyalty to inspire the team to greater things, heh?
