Fans call on Cantona to up protest stakes
On Sunday the Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST) took to the skies, flying a light aircraft over Old Trafford urging the Glazer family to “GO”, while thousands of fans held placards and blew whistles to call time on the regime.
Now Fight for United has added this contribution, a billboard urging fans not to renew season tickets before the 13 June deadline.
The group, which also distributes the iconic “Love United Hate Glazer” stickers familiar to Manchester United supporters, urges fans to give up their season tickets and buy seats on a match-by-match basis.
“Why not play them at their own game?” asked the group’s website
“Behave like the “customer” they want you to be. Why not ditch the season ticket and start to pick and choose, match by match. Buy a One United membership, buy two or three (they only cost £20), then buy the tickets YOU want.
“Let them worry about flogging the pointless Champions League group dead rubber.”
