Bees 3, United 1 – Amorim’s Stubborn Streak
Ed and Dan pick through United’s latest mess – a limp defeat at Brentford that exposed all of Ruben Amorim’s tactical blind spots. The formation remains fixed, the long-ball obsession continues, and player positioning is all over the shop. It’s starting to feel like the manager is running out of answers.
There’s talk of set-piece disasters, defensive gaps you could drive a bus through, and the creeping question of whether Amorim is really the man to take this team forward. A bright spot? United Women keep winning, offering a sharp contrast to the men’s malaise. The lads wrap up with lighter fare – a debate on kit aesthetics – before asking listeners to weigh in.
